Let me introduce myself: I am me. You can call me whatever you want. I've gone through a lot of names over the past four years. Most commonly, you'll hear me referred to as Medi, but don't be surprised to see Alethia, Megan, or something different variations as well. I am a young woman with an interesting viewpoint on life—interesting in that it varies greatly from the common opinion in the United States, and particularly in the South, where I live. Edenton is a small town in North Carolina that has a strange population of people. If you visited, you would see everyone from conservative white gentlemen who regularly attend church and still refer to blacks by offensive names to an unusually high number of high school students who are quite comfortable professing their alternative sexualities and religions to the population. I love my town, even if I could live without the more intolerant of them. I love my town so much that one of my top choices for college (Washington College in Chestertown, Maryland) is in a town almost identical to it. Only Edenton is better, because it used to be the capital of North Carolina in colonial times. Let's walk through this "interesting viewpoint" I claim to have, shall we? Let's start with sexuality. I am pansexual. It's kind of like being bisexual, only I feel like I have to make the distinction of accepting gender-queer individuals—those who deviate from standard gender equations and do not accept the labels of female and male. I have no problem having the "bisexual" label either, since I used to believe I was in middle school. It's better than being called "half-gay"—especially when you find out the other person is not joking. I am a feminist. I'm not one of those feminist who feel the need to put down the males in order to further the female population—that's not feminism, that's misandry. Feminism is the belief that women are on an equal level with men—not above or below them, not in front of or behind them, but beside them. I am a liberal libertarian who has massive respect for most political groups, until it comes to trampling the rights of the minority in order to further the traditions of the majority. I support the Democratic nominees, because their campaigns are closest to what I hope for the U.S. to achieve, however falsely they might be presenting their selves. In the 2008 Presidential election, I support Barack Obama. I also believe that polyamory and polygamy are perfectly fine as long as all parties have consented happily to them. I support the idea of government-sanctioned same-sex marriage, or (more favourably) there should be no government-sanctioned marriage at all. I am pro-choice. Guns should be moderately controlled. I am socially liberal and fiscally moderate. Religion is a subject of mine that could, perhaps, baffle quite a few people. I think the closest organized religion that can come close to fully encompassing my beliefs has to be Wicca. There's a lot more to them than that, I'm afraid. I believe that if you believe it will happen, it will come true for you. If a Christian believes in Heaven and Hell and that they have lived a fruitful life devoted to God, then they will go to Heaven. Conversely, I don't believe it means that all of the people that Christian considers sinners will go to Hell, because your beliefs can't influence another person's life, unless that person believes it as well. (I use Christianity, because most people are at least familiar with it, not to bash the religion.) Like I said, it's mind-boggling. I am a heritage mutt, because I have Cherokee, English, Italian, and Welsh blood running through my veins. I'm not big on heritage much, but it's an interesting fact I thought I could share. I am in love with literature of all kinds. I love creative writing. In fact, one ambition of mine is to become an accomplished writer. I love it when authors create a connection between the readers and their characters, as well as beautiful imagery (when the description is not so much as to bore the reader to death). I also have a deep appreciation and love for Nature and all of Her creations; the destruction of such beauty tears me apart for all of the lives ruined. I find the symbolism of serpents and spiders fascinating, but I would never touch them in reality. Rottweilers scare me too. I'm a coward when it comes to them. I would, however, love to cuddle kittens and smaller dogs. When I become independent after college, the first things I want to get are kittens and puppies. I love all kinds of music, but my favourite types are those I can dance to, such as powerpop and electronica, as well as 80s music. Give me some 80s music to listen to and I'm a happy little turtle. I am obsessed with Harry Potter and Buffy the Vampire Slayer. I read and write fan-fiction for these fandoms, as well as a few others. I adore fandom clichés. What can I say about Medi? It seems like I´ve known you for quite some time now. I just took a look at my old testimonial and wondered what I was smoking. Well, that´s sort of off track- let´s get back on the right one. You´re honestly a darling girl- you´re obscenely loyal and deviously intelligent. You´re a very talented writer and extremely creative. "The process of writing is like Wile E. Coyote running across the canyon. The trouble with authors is that you run so slow you look down, knowing there is actually nothing underneath you, that you've built this whole thing out of words that you made up." "I make no claim as a witch to supernatural powers, but I believe in super powers that reside in the natural."
INTPs represent between 3 and 5% of the U.S. population. Intensely intellectual and logical, INTPs are conceptual problem solvers and often show flashes of creative brilliance. Outwardly quiet, reserved, and detached, INTPs are inwardly absorbed in analyzing problems. They are critical, precise, and skeptical and are driven to find and use logical principles to understand their many ideas. They like conversation to be high level and purposeful and may argue to the point of hairsplitting just for fun. INTPs are convinced almost exclusively by logical reasoning. They set high standards – for themselves and for others. INTP’s think in extremely complex ways and are generally better at organizing new concepts and ideas than at organizing other people. Highly independent, INTP’s tend to be more interested in finding creative solutions to problems than implementing them on the ground level. INTPs Tend To Be: • Naturally objective & logical decision-makers • Confident & independent; driven by their passion & integrity • Quick to understand complex, highly abstract concepts • Creative problem solvers & long-range strategic analysts • Intellectually curious; open to revisiting decisions & processes • Innovative creators of visionary solutions & systems The committed, security-oriented type. Sixes are reliable, hard-working, responsible, and trustworthy. Excellent "troubleshooters," they foresee problems and foster cooperation, but can also become defensive, evasive, and anxious—running on stress while complaining about it. They can be cautious and indecisive, but also reactive, defiant and rebellious. They typically have problems with self-doubt and suspicion. At their Best: internally stable and self-reliant, courageously championing themselves and others. Basic Fear: Of being without support and guidance Key Motivations: Want to have security, to feel supported by others, to have certitude and reassurance, to test the attitudes of others toward them, to fight against anxiety and insecurity. (October 23 - November 21) the Scorpion. Fixed, water, yin - planetary rulers: Mars and Pluto. Keywords: "I DESIRE" Scorpio is the eighth house of the Zodiac and governs the genitalia. Positive traits include magnetic charisma, ambition, drive, a penetrating mind, curiosity, intensity of focus, emotional depth, consistency, persistence, willpower, and the potential for inner transformation and regeneration; negative traits include selfishness, obsessiveness, vindictiveness, hypersensitivity, ruthlessness, cynicism, an inability to understand the word "moderation," and jealousy. It is said that Scorpios embody both the best and the worst of all that are born under the stars, and that there are three kinds of Scorpios: wicked scorpions, cunning serpents, and saintly eagles. What each Scorpio becomes is entirely up to that Scorpio. What is said of Slytherins born under all other signs is doubly true of Slytherins born under Scorpio. (Or was it that what is said of Scorpios is doubly true of Scorpios sorted into Slytherin?) There is no middle ground here - these wizards can embody all that is the very best in the world... or all that is the very worst. They are heroes, or they are villains. They are attracted to the dark, twisted, and forbidden mysteries of the world from the day they are born, and only they can determine whether they will study the dark arts in order to oppose them, or to embrace them. However, as Scorpio is a sign of transformation and regeneration, it is not impossible for even the most evil of dark wizards to turn to the path of good... Scorpio Slytherins have uncanny wisdom, insight into human psychology, and high "emotional IQ's." They are incredibly ambitious, often exist in a state of total ego, and if misused or hurt, can nurse the wound and seethe for decades. Still, although they are often tempted to do horrible things in the name of glory or discovery, they nevertheless are often the kindest, most compassionate, and most forgiving people of all, for they have seen their own inner darkness, faced it, and do not run from it when they encounter it in others.
